How To Clean Stainless Steel Jewelry

5 best methods to recommend:

  1. Soap and water

2. Toothpaste and water

3. Baking Soda and water

4. Ultrasonic cleaners for stainless steel

5. Polishing stainless steel

Tips for Caution:

– Don’t use abrasive cleaners or rough cloths to clean the surface

– Don’t use steel wool or other arbitrary abrasives to scrub stains off the surface

Are your stainless steel jewelry waterproof?

Stainless steel jewelry is indeed known for its excellent water resistance. This is primarily due to the inherently corrosion-resistant nature of stainless steel. The material contains chromium, which, when exposed to air, forms a thin yet strong layer of chromium oxide on the surface. This protective layer effectively prevents moisture and other corrosive elements from damaging the metal underneath, thus preventing corrosion and rust.

Therefore, for everyday activities such as washing hands or getting caught in the rain, stainless steel jewelry is perfectly safe and won’t be damaged by exposure to water. However, prolonged exposure to highly acidic or alkaline environments, or chlorinated water (like in swimming pools), may affect the jewelry.

For stainless steel with coating,we would suggest you do better maintenance.
